Privacy
Short, and complete.
Without a player name
- Playing needs no account and no cookie. Your best scores live in your own browser (local storage) and go nowhere.
- A finished round goes to the server, so it can be replayed and counted: game, seed, score, duration and the input that lets the server replay it. No name, no IP address.
- When the server counted such a round, your browser gets a claim ticket for it and keeps it in local storage for 24 hours. Sign in within that time, in the same browser, and your player page asks whether to put the waiting rounds under your player name; nothing moves until you say yes, and “No, forget them” deletes the tickets from your browser. We keep only a hash of the ticket and the number of its round. A ticket works once and is deleted when it is used; a ticket nobody uses stops working after 24 hours and is deleted the next time a ticket is made or handed in. A claimed round keeps the moment it was claimed. A round nobody claims stays as it was, without a name, like every round played without one. A daily puzzle gets no ticket.
- No analytics. No ads. No third-party scripts. The fonts are served from this site.
- The hosting platform keeps the usual server logs for security, with your IP address, for a short time. Those are kept by Dorelli Cloud, under its own privacy statement.
With a player name
- What we keep: your nickname, a keyed hash of your e-mail address (enough to know you when you sign in again; the address itself is not stored), the moment you ticked that you are 16 or older, your rounds with your nickname on them, and the avatar you picked: the name of one of the drawn avatars and of its colour, two short words. There are no uploads, so no picture of yours is ever kept; until you pick one you have the default firefly.
- At a few mail providers several addresses reach one mailbox. For these the hash is of the plain form of your address, so [email protected] is the same player as [email protected]:
- gmail.com and googlemail.com: without a +label and without dots, and googlemail.com counts as gmail.com.
- outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com, live.nl, hotmail.be, live.be, hotmail.co.uk, hotmail.fr and hotmail.de: without a +label; dots count.
- proton.me, protonmail.com, protonmail.ch and pm.me: without a +label, dots, dashes and underscores.
- The sign-in link goes out through the mail service of Dorelli Cloud, which sees your address for that one mail. The link works once and for thirty minutes; we keep only its hash.
- Why: rankings, the daily challenge and the tournaments.
- One cookie,
__Host-player, for your session, only on this site, thirty days. While you ask for a link, a second one,__Host-signin, for thirty minutes: it lets the link work in the browser that asked for it, and anywhere else you type your address again. Nothing else that stays. - Your nickname shows on the rankings; you can hide it on your player page, and then your rounds show without a name. A ranking drops the name on its next visit; one that was being drawn at that very moment is drawn again twenty seconds later. Nobody sees your address.
- Names are moderated by a filter and by a person at Dorelli Cloud, never by an AI model. When a person looks at your nickname, or it is hidden, replaced, shown again or renamed, a log keeps what happened, when, and the nickname it was about, with your player name. A replaced nickname also stays as a few spellings of that name (in lower case, with digits read as letters), without any link to you, so nobody can take it again.
- Your public page, on dirdori.cloud/players/ and your nickname, is off until you turn it on. It shows your avatar, the month you made your player name, how many rounds, games and days you played and your streaks, per game your best score with its place on the all-time board of that game, the number of rounds and a line of your last scores (without their dates), your badges, your places in finished tournaments and on today’s daily boards. Those daily places show whether you played a daily puzzle today; nothing else on the page says whether or when you played. It shows no date or time of a round, and nothing else. Its places of all time are counted at most a minute before. It asks search engines not to list it, and it is not in the sitemap. Turning it off, hiding your nickname or deleting your player name takes it away at once. Without the page none of these numbers per game show anywhere with your name.
- Your own profile, on your player page and only for you, also shows the day you last played each game, your places on today’s game boards and your last ten rounds with their time in UTC.
- Every game page has a scoreboard of that game, today and of all time. Your browser fetches it each time and no cache in the browser or on the way keeps it; the server keeps the board of a game for at most five seconds, and a new round of that game or a name that leaves the rankings clears it at once. A round shows there with your nickname and avatar only while your nickname shows on the rankings; otherwise it shows as “a replayed round”, like on the other rankings. When you are signed in, the board marks your own rounds and says your place, and only your browser gets that.
- When you are signed in, the top of every page shows your nickname and avatar. Your browser asks the server for them after the page loads, so the page itself, which a cache may keep, never holds a name.
- After a round the server tells your browser where it stands: its place today and of all time, and when you are signed in your best before it, your rounds of the day and your place in a running tournament. These numbers are counted from the rounds when the round comes in; nothing extra is kept.
- On the boards of the daily challenge only rounds played signed in get a place. With a hidden nickname your place stays and shows as “a replayed round”. A round played without a player name, or of a deleted one, is counted there without a place.
- The boards of each day stay online with the nicknames and the date, on dirdori.cloud/daily/ and the day number, until you hide your nickname or delete your player name. Only the boards of today and yesterday ask search engines to list them.
- The standings of a running tournament only show players whose nickname shows; hiding your nickname takes you off them the same way as off a ranking.
- When a tournament is over, every round played signed in counts, also with a nickname that is hidden, held, in review or locked at that moment. Its best twenty places are kept on dirdori.cloud/arena/ with the score, the number of the round, the moment it came in and your player number, and the winner gets a plaque on the Wall of Fame. The page shows your nickname next to your place only while it shows on the rankings; otherwise your place shows as “a player”. Deleting your player name removes your player number from those places; the place stays.
- When you start a tournament round signed in (in the weeks before week 44 of 2026 also a daily puzzle), the server notes the start: a keyed hash of the hash of your address together with the game and the round, the moment, and your player number. That is how your first started round counts and a reload counts as a try, also after you delete your player name and make it again with the same address. We keep a start until the week and the month it falls in are over and counted, shortly after their end; deleting your player name removes the player number from it at once, the keyed hash stays until then.
- When a person at Dorelli Cloud takes a round out of the tournaments, we keep the number of the round, when, and which keeper did it.
- How long: until you delete your player name, on your player page, in one step. Then your rounds stay without a name, and your nickname, the hash, your sessions, your public page and the log of your nickname go from the database at once. The rankings drop the old name the same way as a hidden one, the boards of the daily challenge lose the place of your rounds, and a finished tournament keeps your place as “a player”. The backups of the database keep the name for at most ninety days, until they expire.
- A limit on sign-in mails works on a hash of your IP address, in memory, swept within a minute after the hour is over, also when nobody signs in. Turning your nickname or your page back on has a limit too: ten times an hour, counted in memory on your player number. Changing your avatar has one of thirty times an hour, counted the same way.
Agents
An agent plays with a key that you create under your own player name. We keep the key as a hash, the model name you give it, and its moves. Its moves are public after a match.
