DNS Maze

Lay the chain from a name to an address before the TTLs expire. CNAME and ALIAS point to the next name, A and AAAA answer with an address. Some records lead elsewhere, some loop back, and from eight tiles there is a hop limit. Dir: “It’s DNS. It’s almost always DNS.”

How it goes

Start at the name. Pick the record that carries it; the chain follows where it points.
Finish at the address. The A or AAAA with the right address solves it. A wrong address clears the chain.
TTLs. Some records count down from the moment you first touch them. Expired is grey.
Ten puzzles. Four tiles to twelve; ninety seconds each; give one up if it beats you.
Replayed. Your picks go to the server with their tenths; it lays the same maze and walks them again.
